Last Weekend - Top Tye Awesomeness

The Skykomish was running just under 5000cfs and the water at the takeout of the Tye was about an inch below the tree trunk.

Three laps on Top Tye followed by a cool down lap on the Skykomish made for a great weekend.

No clearance for normal Llama traction yet, but the van got a super sweet paint job.

  1. This run looks awesome! I need to come get that! Do you run the drop in the background above the one being run in picture 6?

  2. That's Log Choke Falls. As far as I know only 4 people have run it.
It "goes", but has some life-altering consequences if you blow the line. The "Rob being Rob" video on my YouTube channel shows him firing it up without any safety.

  3. Yeah, Tao was the first to run it, and the video isn't pretty. To paint the picture, he ricochets off the underwater log and ends up basically pinned in the log out of the water next to it.

  5. Yeah. That's pretty intense.
    Here's Rob's line:

As far as I know; it was Tao first, then Rob McKibbon, Sam Grafton and then this year Gerd Serrasolses.
